Victory Resources (TSXV : VR) was up today on news the company’s Reforma property has received some essential equipment. The Reforma mine was owned and operated by Penoles from 1968-1980. Some of the recently delivered equipment was brought to the mine to rehabilitate the adit already in place from that period.
An adit is the entrance to an underground mine, it’s important for circulating air, draining water when necessary and transporting ore and equipment. In the press release the company said they expected the rehabilitation to take several weeks. Once the adit is up-to-date deeper diamond drilling will commence.
“The previous construction of the main adit by Penoles represents a large savings of money and time and will allow our company to advance to deeper drill targets more quickly and be more cost effective,” said Wally Boguski, president of Victory Resources Corporation, in their September 14 2011 press release. “We will begin the underground rehabilitation of the main adit in Q4 of this calendar year and expect to begin the diamond drill program in the first half of 2012.”on the deeper unground targets.
